Preforming a Network Reboot

Preforming a Network Reboot

Sometimes it is necessary to perform a network reboot to resolve certain connectivity issues.  To perform a network reboot, follow the steps below:

  1. Power off all networking equipment, including any personal router, cable modem, and/or device providing your internet connection.
  2. Power up ONLY the first device(the device that provides your internet connection, i.e. cable modem) and allow it to come completely back online.  With a computer connected to the device that you just powered on, verify that you have an internet connection.  If you do not, contact your internet provider.  If you do, continue to the next step.
  3. Once the first device is restored, power up the next device(device that is connected to the first device via ethernet cable).  Once this device is online and you have verified connectivity, continue to the next device in the network (keep in mind that some devices may be connected wirelessly).
  4. Once all devices are back online, reboot your Touchscreen by going to Settings > Advanced Settings > Reboot Touchscreen
